Marion Coats Graves was the first president of Sarah Lawrence College from 1926 to 1929. A graduate of Vassar College in 1907, Radcliffe College in 1912 with an A.M. and Columbia University's Teachers College in 1932, Graves was a noted educator. In particular, she is known for her experimental contributions to two-year college programs.
